Discussion regarding Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) suggestion from Indio City Manager Glenn Southard, Assistant City Manager Bridget Healy, and Council Members Gilbert and Fesmire to advise and to make recommendations to the Board of Trustees of the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District.

Background:

Representatives of the City of Indio have determined that a Technical Advisory Committee would be of benefit to the Trustees of the District. Trustee Chairman Mike Duran has responded to the City of Indio both verbally and in writing addressing this issue. A copy of his written response is attached.

At the insistence of the City Manager and Council Members Gilbert and Fesmire, President Duran asked at the January Board of Trustees meeting that the issue be added to the February agenda for consideration by the entire Board.
