Approval for Trustees desiring so to attend the Special District and Local Government Institute Governance Seminar February 7-8, 2008, in Palm Springs in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 from Fund #6120.01.250 – Trustee Support.
Background:
This comprehensive training for directors, managers, and key staff is designed to provide participants with the knowledge needed in dealing with the challenges facing local government agencies. It also facilitates networking and the sharing of information and experiences.
Staff Recommendation:
Approve attendance of Trustees desiring so to attend the Special District
Institute and Local Government Institute Governance Seminar February 7-8, 2008,

Fiscal Impact:
Current funds available from Fund #6120.01.250 – Trustee Support is $11,427, which is 48% of the budgeted amount for this line item. This expenditure is approximately 26% of the available balance.
