LAFCO Change in Sphere of Influence for Vector Control Districts in Riverside County

 

Report:

 

The LAFCO Commission met on October 25, 2007, and ruled on vector control agency sphere of influence for Riverside County.  The sphere of influence for the two special districts now encompasses all of Riverside County.  The revised sphere of influence for CVMVCD extends westward to Fields Road in Cabazon and eastward to the Arizona border.  The remainder of the county falls into the sphere of influence of the Northwest MVCD.

 

This sphere of influence will not change District operations or county vector control operations in our region.  No move is underway to annex any new area into the Coachella Valley MVCD area.  This ruling simply provides the opportunity for potential growth if the right conditions arise.
