Approval of Resolution 2007-17 revising “line item” expenditures for the annual budget for fiscal year 2007/2008.
Background:
The RIFA program is gaining momentum with great strides made in the eradication of the invasive Red Imported Fire Ant. For fiscal year 2007-2008, almost 99 % of the budget line item 7800.01.500 Control Products has been used to fight RIFA. The RIFA program has identified the amount of control products needed for the remainder of the fiscal year. This amounts to $750,000; therefore, a transfer of $750,000 is required from the General Reserve account 3900.01.000.
