Approval for four supervisory/management staff members to attend the County of Riverside’s Management Excellence Academy. Amount not to exceed $8,780.00 from Fund #7600.01.225 – Staff Training.

Background:

The County of Riverside Human Resources Center for Government Excellence provides training for county employees, employees of other public jurisdictions and employees of non-profit organizations. Four supervisory employees have already completed the program and found the classes valuable and pertinent to their responsibilities at the District. The Academy is provided to participants start to finish over ten to twelve weeks. These classes provide a solid foundation for management/supervisory employees.

Staff Recommendation:

Approve attendance of four supervisory/management staff members to attend the County of Riverside’s Management Excellence Academy in an amount not to exceed $8,780.00 from Fund #7600.01.225 – Staff Training.

Fiscal Impact:

Current funds available from Fund #7600.01.225 – Staff Training is $28,750, which is 100% of the budgeted amount for this line item. This expenditure is approximately 30% of the available balance.
