The following is a list of pesticides currently utilized by the District.  Click on the pesticide name to view a more detailed description.

Altosid®
Mosquito larvicide applied to standing water that is absorbed through the body of the larvae.

 

 

Bait Blocks®
Rodentcide used in wet or damp areas.

 

Dimilin 25-W®
Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) used for Midge control.

 

 

Golden Bear Oil®
Petroleum based product used to suffocate mosquito larvae and pupae.

 

Liquid Egg Bait
Product that is mixed with water and placed inside eye gnat traps that acts as an attractant to eye gnats and flies.

 

M-Pede®
A soap product with insecticide and fungicide properties that is lethal to Africanized honeybees.

 

Pyrenone 25-5®
Mosquito adulticide used for fogging.

 

Pyrocide®
Mosquito adulticide used for fogging.

 

Stimukil®
Insecticide used for flies containing an attractant that keeps flies stationary and eating vigorously.

 

 

Vectobac®
(Bacillus thurengensis isralei) Bacterium based pesticide that causes gut spasm in mosquito larvae upon consumption.

 

Vectolex®
Bacterium based larvicide that is capable of reproducing itself in the field giving it a high residual effect, and making it more persistent.
